This is a reduced tuition rate that recognizes outstanding academic achievement. The GEO Award is available for all terms (fall, spring and summer).

Benefits

The graduate GEO award is valued at $8,436 per year for the 2024-2025 academic year based on nine credit hours per semester. The actual award amount may vary based on course enrollment.

The GEO award can result in a total savings of:

  • At least $13,000 for a two-year graduate program

Requirements

  • First-time, full-time, international students who are academically qualified based on their college or university undergraduate transcript and who have been fully admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program at SIUE.
  • The tuition discount is valid for only one major program at the bachelor’s or master’s level. Coursework completed outside of the specified program may not be eligible for this discount.

The award is good for up to six terms. Continuance of the award requires completion of full-time enrollment each semester (minimum of nine credit hours).
