Scholarships and Co-curricular Activities Leading to Excellence (SCALE) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S-STEM) program. The main goal of the NSF S-STEM program is to enable low-income students with academic ability and talent, the opportunity to pursue successful careers in STEM fields by increasing the number of low-income students that graduate with a STEM degree. In addition to financial aid, the S-STEM program encourages increased retention and graduation in STEM fields through support of co-curricular activities for these students.
