Requirements

You will care for patients with both common and rare GI and liver disorders. Focus areas include:

  • Complex liver disorders, including autoimmune and cholestatic liver disease
  • Steatotic liver disease
  • GI and pancreatic cancer prevention
  • Weight management and metabolic disorders
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Pancreatic diseases

You will also work closely with a research mentor on an original investigative research project in basic science, clinical research, or translational research. Our faculty are committed to the highest level of research training and work closely with you to make sure you have access to the guidance and resources you need to complete your research.

Interview Dates and Process

We offer several different fellowship opportunities for trainees interested in pursuing a career in digestive diseases:

  • Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology: Three-year, ACGME-accredited program that provides fellows with excellent clinical and research training.
  • Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship: One-year training program focused on endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram (EUS/ERCP)
  • Advanced Transplant Hepatology Fellowship: One-year, ACGME-accredited training program focused on adult and pediatric liver transplantation and living donor liver transplantation.
  • Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship: One-year training program that provides fellows with well-rounded clinical and research experience in inflammatory bowel disease.
