Loyola offers its graduate assistants a competitive package of services and financial aid, as well as learning development resources. These offers reflect our commitment to live our social justice values and provide an exceptional student experience.
The scholarship will cover 25% of the tuition rate. The scholarship is restricted to tuition and does not cover fees or housing.
Other institutional awards (including cohort discounts, school/program merit awards, athletics scholarships, etc.) cannot be stacked on top of the 25% tuition scholarship.
The scholarship does not cover undergraduate prerequisite courses.
The Returning Rambler Scholarship cannot be combined with the Pathways Scholarship, but will go into effect when the Pathways Scholarship eligibility expires if student is still enrolled in first graduate program, as long as it is still within 10 years of undergraduate degree conferral.
Students must meet the following criteria to receive the scholarship, applicable to tuition only:
Must be Loyola undergraduate alumni enrolling in their first eligible credit-bearing post-baccalaureate certificate program, endorsement, an accelerated bachelor’s to master's program, or master's degree program.
Guidelines for maintaining the scholarship:
While students do not need to maintain continuous enrollment to keep the award, the scholarship does expire 10 years from the date of the conferral of their bachelor’s degree (i.e., a May 2023 graduate is eligible for the discount until May 2033; any courses after May 2033 will not be discounted).
There is no separate application process for this scholarship. As long as first time graduate program applicant meets the listed requirements, they will receive the scholarship.
Students can submit their application to their selected graduate program through the application portal.
Admission decisions are contingent upon meeting program admission requirements and application deadlines.
The scholarship will be posted to the admitted student's account after the drop/add period of each term (semester or quarter).
