The Promise Scholarship for Graduate Study
Awarded to 8 graduate students actively working to address issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. Financial need is not a factor.*
The Promise Scholarship is is only available to full-time graduate students on our main campus in Springfield, Mass. Students enrolled in online programs are ineligible for this scholarship.
Benefits
Students receiving this scholarship will receive $5,000 annually for two consecutive years of full-time study.
Requirements
- The Promise Scholarship cannot be combined with the Community Leadership Scholarship or the Excellence Scholarship.
- The Promise Scholarship cannot be combined with a fellowship/associateship position and will supersede any Springfield College Grant offered to students that participate in direct entry programs.
- Recipients must be newly admitted graduate students in good standing with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of no less than a 3.5 or a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.75. GPA is recalculated at the point of scholarship consideration. Returning graduate students are not eligible.
- Completed applications, including letters of recommendation, must be received in full.
